Birth control pill side effects

I was on the same birth control pill for 3 years, and last month i decided to switch pills. I was supposed to get my period yesterday (my 1st period on the new pill) but it didn't come. can switching birth control cause a late/missed period?

Yes. It messes with all sorts of things in your body for a short time. Call your doctor or pharmacist and they can tell you if your specific symptoms are common with your specific situation.

yes. switching birth control meds means changing the exact dosage of the given medication; so changing the med variety will affect your cycles. It's kind of like 300 mg of Tylenol vs 300 mg of aspirin. They're both to alleviate pain, but 300 mg of Tylenol is standard where 300 mg of aspirin could make you very sick.

yes it does mess your body up i would have to agree with the person that said go to your doctor or pharmacy they will help

Yes its very normal my sister switched from ortho cyclene to seasonal and she didnt get her period until 3 weeks after she was suppose to, but after that it should be on track.
