A huge number of businesses would go belly up due to the sudden loss of cheap exploitable labour.
-
Profits for companies will most probably fall, due to the loss their workers.
-
If not total collapse, close to it.
-
Labor jobs would have to hire new people. I used to work at a landscaping company, and out of the 8 man crew, I was one of only 2 that spoke more than 20 english words. These type of jobs rely really heavily on illegals because they dont have to pay them much to keep them happy.
-
the population would decline.

The short-term impact would be great but if illegal workers were removed from the equation long term then employers would have to raise wages high enough to attract American workers. Naturally some prices would rise but stabilize after a while. The market would adjust after a while as it has adjusted to other changes in the past. This is just a “political football” like abortion, the war in Iraq, Gay rights, and other issues that politicians like to keep on the front pages so that they won’t have to deal with the real issues facing the country.

Lotta stuff population decrease is one thing
-
We would loose alot of good resturants
-
Then millions of our American born children, and adults would have a better chance of getting minimum wage jobs, and the communication would be much better, and much less people on welfare and state medical insurance. Then a joyous celebration!!
-
Unskilled labor prices would skyrocket which would cause some people to move to these jobs which would increase labor prices all around.
-
There would be a lot of manual labor that wasn't getting done because the majority of the American people are too "good" to do it.
-
A big impact since they are already contributing to the economy with taxes and with labor in ocupation in some areas not interesting to american citizens. You can perfect your knowledge about this situation at http://usliberals.about.com/b/a/211212.htm

Of course if all the illegal immigrants were removed from our country overnight there would be plenty of businesses in trouble for a while. But they should not have been hiring illegals in the first place!! Furthermore, I believe we would have to possibly re-align our financial structure and hopefully adjust salaries so that the wealth of this great nation is spread evenly so the CEO's of companies are not the only ones living the good life. In a short time, we would be a strong nation again - financially, socially and emotionally.
-
What would happen is americans would have to swallow thier pride and start doing the jobs that no one else wanted to do, example landscaping, janitorial, sanitation work, etc, i dont think the US could function properly if that happened, lots of compaines would go out of business, because where illegals are being paid less that $7 dollars an hour to cut grass, they would have to start to compensate americans with a good salary of atleast $14/hr as that is manual labor
-
Higher consumer prices. I think we U.S. consumers benefit from lower prices, as a result of the low wages most immigrants are paid. If the illegal immigrants were to leave, it would create more jobs for U.S. citizens. If U. S. citzens had to do the same job as the immigrants it would then become a higher-skilled (we don't do unskilled labor) higher-paid position thus our prices increase considerably.

WAY MORE JOBS FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE...could you imaine how many homeless people and jobless people that would make happy?
-
America would be America again, the land of legal immigration for those who seek a better life for an honest day's labor.
-
Many unemployed Americans could find work, businesses who only exist because they under pay would have to give minimum wage and would open doors to legal immigrants who come to work honestly as oposed to many who don't have a desire to become citisens and who just want money.
