  • I'd be asking that friend for the dessert recipe!!!! It wouldn't bother me:)
  • No it wouldn't bother me. I think everyone should have time to shine and I know sometimes it's me and sometimes it's others. If they can add to my dinner, I think it's terrific. If I did my best and felt that my guests appreciated the whole dinner with my best, then I'm happy. Besides, if I hadn't had the dinner, they wouldn't have had the opportunity to shine :-) I have to admit that I've been on the other side a few times, where my dessert was the news of the event but I've always been graciously thanked by the person hosting and they were thrilled that the dessert worked so well. And I've been where someone else took over and what I had done was forgotten by most and since I had done my best, I was fine with that, too, and a kiss thank you from my husband :-)
  • I would not be bothered in the least and just happy that my guests are happy.
  • I would probably be awed by it also and want the makings so i can make it I would be happy.
  • I would compliment my friend on her culinary prowess and admire her abilities, since my lovely dinner came from Swanson's.
  • I would be a little put out but would be gracious and keep that to myself.
  • I have been in that exact position. I put out the spread and a dear dear friend brought her killer made-from-scratch carrot cake to die for. I took credit for having her as my friend.
