Yes, but I untangle my hair daily. I am a mature man with shoulder length hair. I use a good conditioner when I shower, and carefully finger comb it, and then comb it with a wide tooth comb while in the shower. Then If necessary, I use a generic detangler which I got at Sally's. This works for me.

The only time I've had tangles that bad was a couple of years ago when I was moving in Arizona in August. I dried my hair and braided it to keep it out of the way. During the course of the day, the sweat from my head re-wet my hair while it was braided. When it dried, the hairs were stuck together like felt. I think I spent 20 minutes in the shower, loading it down with conditioner and gently combing it out from the bottom.
