When in doubt....don"t This is an old saying thats still good today. I have lived by this saying for many years and as of today, it has not betrayed me. Keep it.

There is no 'Right' answer to this, based on the imformation you have given us. Sounds like there is for and against in your mind. Maybe if you figure what the money would be used for should you sell it things might tilt in one direction or another to where you will feel more inclined to either hang on or not...

If you think you will regret it then you are not ready to sell it.

Dude frikking ride it...that's why you got it right? Anyway it's more economical. Jeez, nothing personal to you but I can't stand when people get RV's (bikes, ATV's, jet ski's) knowing they are never going to use them but impulsively got it cuz a friend got one, or your credit approved it when you walked into the dealership on a dare or it happened to fall in their lap for a song. Caveat Emptor, man, I mean think before you pruchase. I'm gagging for another motorcycle but I don't have the credit to buy a new one so I just have to wait to get one with cash. +4

Why not take it out and ride it, like to work, especially with the price of gas these days, if it's roadworthy? Then you are getting some use out of it and keeping it in good running order. If it just sits, unless you run it regularly, it will deteriorate and be worth even less than if it gets older. I don't know why you aren't riding, but most people regret giving it up for something, like because of the kids or not enough time, or someone asks you not to. Don't lose the skills you already have, they go quickly, even over a long winter of storage.

If you don't need the money keep it. If it is very low miles it will hold it's value fairly well.
-
If you rarely use it, you should sell it, and get some money out of it. You'll regret loosing the money by keeping it, before regretting getting rid of it
-
Go out and ride it every weekend for a month. If you enjoy it and miss it during the week, keep it. If you dread going out, get rid of it.

Unless you dislike it or it's giving you problems then I recommend keeping it. It's a free ride now and the money you save can go into tricking it out and riding it more. I have a 71 Honda that I would not trade for a new one...now it's a classic ride that people give me a thumbs up for riding, ( and it speaks volumes about Honda quality ). All it costs me for is tags, insurance, and gas - and the occasional trip to the bike shop for a new screw or two. I shake my head at the guys with $300 a month bike payments - there not getting any better ride then I'm getting now and it cost them a "vacation" each year just to make payments.
