I think I have heard before that putting lemon juice in a small bowl, then warming that up in the microwave gets rid of many odors.

Try mixing baking soda with some diluted white vinegar and scrub with that, don't wash it off straight away.

Try baking soda. It works for the inside of refrigerators !

You can wash it out with vinegar and water first then place a box of baking soda or a couple of charcoal pieces (the kind you use to barbeque) inside to absorb the smell.

Clean it out with vinegar. You can also put some vanilla on a cotton ball and let it sit there a while; or even maybe a lemon.
