Im in a Rp site and there are a few people there called "triste" what are they, what do they do?

The definition of 'triste' is mournful or wistful. I cannot say why people in a RP room would be unhappy but since they are just acting the part who can say.I would imagine it has something to do with BDSM but i am just giving an opinion not a fact ,except for the definition

triste means sad in French, if that helps any.

If you'd tell us WHAT site, there might be more hope of getting an answer here!. Anyway, surely there is a way of contacting the organizers to ask them?
