Would a savage native isolated from all civilization prefer Beethoven's 5th Symphony to a wild cacophony of random sound?

    Why is the other choice a wild cacophony of random sound? People of hunter gatherer life styles, (though Im assuming thats what you mean when you say savage native) tend to have an extensive language of rhythm and melody of their own. Depending on the tribe they might find Beethovens 5th interesting, but like you and I, would probably prefer the music of their own generation, or what they grew up listening to.
