Walking to an interview you one man shoot a man he is arguing with. He snatches paper sacks from the fallen man and runs, others w/guns give chase. As they pass one sack falls undetcted. Inside is about $8,000 in $100 bills. What would you keep the $$?

Why not? Keep it for a few days or weeks. If nothing comes up, spend it. If they come up to your house, give them the money back. No big.

In this case I cannot discern WHO the money belongs to, so I can't possibly do the right thing and give it back. I call the police and give it to them when they get on scene.

chances are, if they are willing to shoot each other, their willing to shoot you too. if it was me in that situation i'd take it and go. give it afew days before i use it in any way. then send some of it to a guy called mwass254 on answerbag ;)
