  • What I have been told is that you should take the ELISA, or whichever HIV test thus: 1 month 2 months 6 months 1 year 2 years Seroconversion most often occurs within the first month. 6 months is another "landmark." 2 years is another. The last I heard they thought that you could seroconvert up to 10 years after exposure (VERY rare)... if that is wrong now, someone please tell me?
