You may or may not be able to overclock the cpu. Everything is going to depend on the actual chip, the mobo and your experience. You might hit a snag with the case design as well. You say just a fan? Or is it a fan/heat sink combo? Some of those monster heat sinks won't fit in many cases. If you haven't researched the subject well enough, don't do it. It only takes 30 seconds or less for the core temp to shoot past the fry temp of a chip, if you've made a mistake. I'm running a celeron 2.0 over clocked to 2.6 stable, but did a lot of research before buying the proc, mobo to get the most bang for the buck.

Yeah, i guess I just wont mess around with it, it is huge though, think it might or might not fit in my sony vaio, the proc. is pentium 4 2.8GHZ, doesn't ur comp shut off automaticly when overheating?
