  • The correct answer is "God only Knows". However since this is a religous matter my belief is that there are a limited amount of souls which is directly porportional to the number of humans that will be born (God only knows that number).
  • Maybe there is a fixed number of souls in the universe, and if so, then maybe some of those souls are in different realities (whatever those may consist of), and only come to this reality when their time in the other reality has come to an end. Does this make sense or am I totally confusing?
  • Each soul is created at the time the human being is created. There is no basket of souls from the beginning of time just waiting for people to be born, contrary to what Mormons and similar may think. Why do you think it is a bad thing that we have a Creator actively involved in people's lives? And He does reveal Himself all the time, plenty of signs of God's goodness even to His enemies. Without God's sustaining grace, even His common grace and goodness (He causes His rain to fall on the good and evil) -- the world would be in far worse shape than it is. And He has given us His revelation, revealing Himself to us, an amazing book with even more amazing history behind it.
  • There could be a fixed number of souls, as long as we do not assume that all souls are active at all times. say there are 100 billion souls but only between 25 and 50 billion active at any given time. would this mean the creator is any less active? I don't think so. Maybe there are signs but we are blinded to where to look or at which level to view the signs. I told my son my truck keys were on my desk he comes back and says nope, I said look again, again he says nope, I walk in and pick up a news paper and my keys are there on my desk. sometimes it is not that the signs are not there we don't bother to really look.
