I have a small collection of button covers, normally you wear those on the top button of a shirt, instead of wearing a traditional tie, would i be able to wear a button cover on the top button of my shirt to a job interview, or should i wear a tie?

I don't know what a button cover is. Still, if it is a new trend, the employer isn't looking for someone to start something different in his/her business. Just be aware of it.
