  • If you want to stay nuetral, How about leaves they are pretty easy to do, green and browns go together. Maybe burgandy if you want some color.
  • Yeah i agree with spicy stay neutral, nothing to bright and a darkish green would fit in quite nicely. The rest is up to you.Happy painting.
  • I was going to say the complete opposite of both these answers. You should paint something in yellow. You need color if all you have in your room is beige and brown. Yellow goes with almost every color and it could be a focal point in the room.
  • Do a splatter effect..that's simple. Just use beiges, browns, maybe some greens to spruce it up a bit.
  • A really cool technique I learned in college is to take your canvas off the frame and crinkle it up. Then take spray paint (in different colors - your preference) and lightly spray the canvas creating an interesting design and texture-like quality. Spray one color and let dry. Then re-crinkle the canvas for a varied look and spray with a different color. Muted colors look great. It's fun to do. It always looks different. You can either leave the crinkled effect alone and hang it, or use it as a background then paint something on it - just use your imagination! Another suggestion, go to furniture stores and look at their art work. Find something you like and model it after that. I've never actually done this, but when I look at furniture and see the art they have on display...I think to myself, that's neat...I could do that. Happy painting!

  • What about a warm red and orange sunset? The landscape could be in shadow so nothing too demanding....
