Is there some way to remove your own answers now? I have found, that some comments I posted under other people's answers have simply vanished...

No, I think that's a problem the site is having. I've been noticing it too.

1. There is a way by which you can remove your own answer. Answerbag allows editing of answres at any time. You could just delete the entire answer and replace it with a modified answer or just leave a comment saying you have removed your answer as you thought it is unsuitable for the question. 2. If a comment thread runs too long the Answerbag computers show just the last few comments and keep the earlier ones hidden. You could click on 'show all comments' and see all the comments that have been posted. If your comments were among the hidden comments then you will get to see them. 3. There are a few glitches in the answerbag that need to be fixed. The posted comments could have got deleted as a result of this. I am sure AB will fix this problem.

Give them some time... They'll reappear if they appeared once, unless they were nasty. ;-)
