Would you prefer to live in a society where you make $5 a week and it takes $4 a week to live or make $500 a week and it takes $495 a week to live?

I have learned to live on the $5/week thing Almost... Try living on less than $800/mo. in the USA...I do.

We live like that here in India on 4 to 5 dollars worth so it is greatliving like that. If the same stuff costs 500 then it is not worth spending that on it. Simple living is any day better.

I'd go with the 5/4 option. I would have $1 instead of 5 but with the cost of living so low the $1 is 20% of my pay and would get me more than the $5 at the higher pay rate.
