Isn't that what the USA was built on?

It's the same in Australia. In Sydney they didn't even wanna put up Xmas lights coz it might offend some of the immigrants. If they come here they need to adapt!

Because they are ungrateful. That's like the spanish people coming here and expecting us to speak spanish. If I was to move to mexico I would prepare myself to learn the langage they should do the same here. Or they have children here and they only speak spanish. They need to teach them kids english. Don't get me going.

You know, it really depends on what they want changed... I mean, surely none immigrate and say "I haven't had to dodge a single bullet or flee in terror from a bomb or missile since i came to this hole of a country". I am sure that they would be fairly particular on what they want changed? could you give some examples of such changes they want?

This is the result of the de facto open borders policy. They make a raid or two to mollify the sheeple or pass a bill to build a fence, then neglect to supply the funding for that fence, but the reality is border security is let go to a larger extent than we realize. This serves the interests of the Transnational Progressives (Tranzis, I like to call them) in politics as well as corporate interests. Big business gets cheap labor not protected by our labor laws, the Tranzis and other scum get a new victim class to shed crocodile tears over. I am fed up with both sides' arguments. Business argues that they just can't get by without the cheap, easily abused labor. BULL! This argument is identical to that used by slave owners prior to the Civil War, that they just couldn't compete with the North if they didn't have their slaves. Meanwhile the tranzis and others who let their emotions dominate them see it as their duty to be compassionate no matter the cost to their own nation, they claim we simply have to help and fling open our doors to any and all comers. I would have no problem with this if they would adapt to the culture here, however, they do not. In the name of 'tolerance' we make signs, forms, etc. in their language to help them rather than forcing them to learn the language of their adopted country. In the name of 'multiculturalism' we are forced to teach our children about the immigrants' culture rather than requiring the immigrant to adopt ours. I am tired of being told that I have to respect these people when they have no respect for their adopted country. I am tired of having their culture, their language, shoved down my throat. Tired of hearing how nice it was back in the 'old country'. If their homeland was so wonderful why ever did they leave? If they hate it here so much then go back. Want to see the ultimate end result of this sort of totally uncontrolled immigration policy? Take a good look at the Native Americans and what they have suffered.

My father and I are (were in his case) immigrants... we came here in 1969. My mother was dead by then. Regardless, both of my parents learned to speak English before immigrating (my father already spoke it... he spoke some 6 or so languages). We both got citizenship and he worked until he was too ill from cancer to work anymore. Then we lived on the money he had been saving because he knew he was dying plus the money I earned working. I have worked since I was 10. I still work. We came here when I was too young to have any identity other than American by now. He kept both identities and was, actually, a fellow who became very angry at flag burners. He knew how lucky we were to not be THERE. I am sure glad that I was not born THERE (my parents first came to Canada, my mother died, then to America). Neither he nor I had our hands out for anything nor did he want to change America. I guess my father and I are/were horrible people.

I don't have an answer but I love the question and wish I could say something profound in response. It drives me nuts. If we went to these countries you can bet we wouldn't be able to demand the whole country change for us.

No idea. It's like moving in my house but telling me you can't live like I live and the only way you will do so is IF I change xyz. And then get upset and insulted b/c I demand that this is my house & if you wanna stay here then you must go by my rules. now on the flip side of this: You reap what you sow and this land was stolen to some extent. Looks like it's harvesting time.
