  • It was many years ago but not now.
  • Cars and computers are both complex. In different ways.
  • THAT is a brilliant question. Perhaps it is geeky to understand how computers work because guys who understand how cars work always end up eventually working for guys who understand how computers work. So if they call you a geek now, consider it due compensation for all the years in the future where they'll say, "We'll have it for you next Wednesday, sir." But it's important to be nice to them unless you want to hear that the part they need to fix your car is sitting in a shipping facility halfway up Mt. Everest and they're waiting for the snowstorm to break so the yaks can get through.
  • Well, that there is a good question. I believe I will ask beau about that. He thinks of me as a geek, but he has a vast knowledge of the inner workings of many other things... Thank you. I'd never thought of it like that.
  • Simple. Car geeks get dirty and use brute strength to coerce rusted or tight parts, they weld, use torches, grunt, brag about the time they bench pressed a C6 transmission into their Rustang, and ya gotta be badass to do all that. Computer geeks just use their brains and are generally very lacking in applying physical force.
  • Because mechanical men can't work computers and geeky men don't know anything about cars...i don't don't know anything about either one...so what does that make me??? oh...wait...let me get my helmet....lol....seriously...they're just labels like everything else...
