how old is he?

He is playing. All cats do it. Its their way to show how much they love you. Also I know some cats who would kind of bite me but not break through the skin. I asked their owners and they said it was a love bite.

My cat does the same thing, usually it's because she's gotten ahold of her catnip but it's mostly out of sheer boredom, cat's are nocturnal so the morning to them is when they start to expel their energy so they can sleep, he's not mad about anything just incredibly bored. Another cat may help but I think that would just fuel the fire, i think the best way to handle it is just let the cat run it's course.

You are experiencing your cat's Frenetic Random Activity Period (FRAP) (some people say that a cat is "Frapping" when it does this). It is playtime fueled by excessive kitty energy. Dogs do it too, as puppies, but cats do it for a large part of their adult lives. It will slow down or become less frequent when he cat is older.

he is defenatily playing, my cat does it all day long and sometimes at night as well. It is normal for them to do that.

I just watched a show on T.V. about that - It's a lack of vitamins -

That's what all the sleeping they do is for - that burst of energy and then it's nap time again.
