Answerbag improvement thought.
Be the 1st to answer a question that is 48+ hours old and get triple points for any positive points you earn. This would hopefully encourage people to check out the NOT ANSWERED area to clean some of it up. Thoughts?

Seems like an improvement; otherwise same old questions on screen, getting sillier and sillier.2nd option; start a 'Junior AB' to get rid of the kids!

I'm on the fence with this one... usually there is a good reason that unanswered questions go unanswered, most of them should be left to die like the lame dogs that they are. But for the one or two good questions that slip through the net because the only person who knows the answer wasn't online when they got posted and they got drowned by sheer volume of new questions, it would be a good idea. On balance I probably have one foot in the "against" camp...

It would throw off the rating and points system completely. I don't think it is a good idea. Also, those questions get answers eventually if there are answers to them. Some I have seen I can't see how there could be an answer frankly, due to the type of question or how it was posed.

Why isn't there a way to mark questions that you have already answered? I know that most people up rate the question to mark it, but sometimes I like to answer questions, but don't want to award any points for the question.

Do you guys think answerbag should hold a competition for answering questions to like trivial pursuit? they ask a question and the first like ten people get points for answering. They do a question an hour for one week and see who has the most points?

Can you please let us edit questions until an answer gets submitted, if no answer has been submitted for more than 5 minutes after asking the question? It would make a lot of sense to allow us to edit questions as long as no one has answered it.
