I won the undergraduate short story contest at the U of Illinois.

I have been in 2 cooking contests. One the National Beef Cookoff and other other was a baking contest ... I was lucky enough to "place" in both and won a small amout of money. It was fun.

Never. At least not knowingly or voluntarily. I am not competitive in that way. I only compete with me..who I am today I hope is far more patient than who I was years ago. I never compare myself to anyone nor do I appreciate being compared to anyone. I have received recognition on occasion because of others who saw something in what I wrote or prepared or created but that was not my intention and it was always a surprise! :)

Yes I have. I have entered Swedish weaving that I do in contests, cooking, gardening, and I have won several contests for my writing and I have published three books.
