How can I get this stubborn neighbor lady to quit feeding my dogs cheap doggie treats through the fence? I've tried asking, I've tried telling her my pup won't eat his regular food, because he spends all day waiting for treats! It NEEDS to stop!

I can think of 2 things that might help. If you are still on speaking terms with her tell her that your dog has a problem with its stomach and if it eats anything other than the diet you feed it, it will get sick and die. A little drastic but maybe it will get through to her. The other thing is to get yourself some chicken wire. It is quite inexpensive and comes in different sizes. Put a layer of it along the fence so hopefully the treats won't fit through the holes in it. Good luck. This must be very frustrating for you.

In my opinion, you should ring her door bell and calmly tell her the whole reason you don't want her feeding your dog. And if shes kinda crazy like some of my neighbors you could raise your voice at her next time she feeds your dog.

She has no business doing this. You need to be more firm with her if she is not listening to you!! I have my dog on a healthy diet, I would be furious. Let her know she may give the pup attention, minus the treats.

ask her that she can give the treats to you only so you can feed them to the dogs yourself as they only have treats at evening time after meals.and that you would give them out to them later.

talk to her again,if she continues you could block up the holes in your fence.she sounds really annoying.i would be so peed off.

Run at her next time you see her doing it and yell really loud so the neighbors can hear you... HEY! Are you the one who has been poisoning my precious _______??? She will stop rather quick if for no other reason then to save face. I don't think you'll even see her anymore after that?

Tell her that you just visited your vet for your dog's annual checkup and that the vet says the dog's gained 5 lbs and that this is very hazardous to his health. Tell her he has forbidden you to give the dog any scraps or treats and ask her to be respectful of that for the sake of your dog's health. I had to do this with my grandmother who loved my dog (and he certainly loved her) but she would feed him all of her leftovers and he gained serious weight because of it!

She is just trying to be friendly, but she doesn't understand the importance of what you are saying. Either, provide her with treats that are acceptable to you or invite her over for a specific time occasionally to socialize with your dogs and give them treats that you approve of. Maybe do both.

You are going to have to watch and train your dog. If you let out go out there with your dog and stay out there when she try you can say no she is not allowed to do this. How can you tell that this aint one of those recalled foods for pets that can kill it. Personally even tho might cost a little i would put up like high ass fence wood board one or something and then let her suck on that egg.

Throw salt on her yard for the round up. There is no smell and it will surely kill her lawn for a very long time. Its best to do it before the sprinklers come on so they don't possibly see the salt. I would go over there and tell her to knock her shit off but that's just me, I'm a blunt upfront person, then if that didn't work I would toss the dog shit on her side of the fence since she wants to feed him so he craps more.

Sounds like time to get a new fence. You could get one of those tall, wooden privacy fences. Or, you could do what a friend of mine did, and buy these rolls of tall decorative bamboo sticks. The bamboo sticks are joined together, it's supposed to be used to cover fences and make them more attractive, and it's a lot cheaper than replacing the fence. I think my friends got theirs from Costco, but I expect Home Depot or garden centers might sell something similar.

i would call the cops and file a complaint against her. at the very least they will have to come talk to her because it will be treated as a domestic disturbance, and once its documented if it keeps going on you could probably actually get a restraining order for her from your dog
