LOL yeah "rob me please I won't shoot you."
-
Because any pro-gun neighbors would blow their head off with a shotgun in less than five minutes
-
That sign would just become shooting practice.
-
Funny, very funny. You gotta wonder.
-
For the same reason an anti-rape person wouldn't tape a "virgin" sign to their ass.
-
The are giving an open invitation to be a victim of a violent crime.

Well, no one likes to identify themselves as being an easier mark than the next guy. People who are anti-rights but decline to identify themselves a such in public are hypocrites of the finest kind. One reason that criminals avoid properties that are occupied is the very real fear of being made room temperature by an armed occupant. Criminologists have interviewed criminals many times and asked what they feared more: armed citizens or armed police officers. Invariably, the criminals said they feared armed citizens more because they knew that police have to follow known rules of engagement; a criminal knows what a cop can or cannot do. Anti-rights people play both sides of the field. They get to feel good about their perceived moral superiority over those who do own firearms but also get to enjoy some of the benefits of firearm ownership as criminals avoid their occupied property on the off chance that the occupants might have a firearm close to hand.

He lives across the street from a "Dunkin Donut" shop or he owns the donut shop and feels secure because certain "duty" bound gov. employees are always present?
-
I would respect their honesty but would not want to be their insurance company.

Let's put one in your yard for a month and see if you get robbed! Might as well don't you think. Why would you advertise such a thing in the first place? Might as well leave your house for a few day and leave the door wide open. Let's get real!

LMAO!

I think your question is perfectly legitimate. I have heard many people express their concern that guns kill people, that having guns in the home is an invitation to disaster. I agree that to demonstrate their personal integrity and send their important message to the world, anti-gun persons should advertise this fact. Their homes, their cars and their workplace should boast they do not have and do not approve of firearms. I'm sure they would agree that the highly-paid police, who they fully believe are adequate to protect them, and the rest of us, will provide that extra measure of protection to be sure that nobody takes advantage of them.
-
Because not everybody wants or feels the need to publicly advertise their morals.

"Proud to Be a Gun-Free Household!" When I retire I will have such a sign on the front lawn. I'll just sit inside in a rocking chair with a 12GA and see what the bait brings in.
