NO rabbit is hypoallergenic, even the rex. It's true they shed less, but it's not really the hair that causes the allergies, it's the dander and saliva that really are the triggers for allergies and rabbits, as you know are constant groomers like cats. It's one of the reasons that cats, even the ones that are practically hairless or rex, are still strong enough to trigger allergy symptoms. And cats are comparatively easy to bathe compared to rabbits that shouldn't get wet. It is possible to bathe a cat and that alone is enough to make it safe for some people that are allergic. But you cant' do that with rabbits.
