Mine knows when we make the turn on the highway right before the vet's office...as soon as I make the turn, he gets all freaky.

I don't have one now. But, the German Shepherd we watched for my step-son knew as soon as we get into the parking lot. Very nervous, etc.............

Yes, and all I can think of is the medicine smell that they recognize...

They all know what it going on.

They know exactly where they are. My dogs wouldn't even want to get out of the van, let alone putting the brakes on getting them in the door.

when i get in my truck to take him to the vet , he starts to cry and shake. If we are going anywhere else , he is just fine

Way way way way way before that. The moment the Pet Carrier comes out he knows and he is not happy. :)

my last pet who passed away would always shake as soon as we stepped into the vet office. we always held her close. poor girl. she was so sweet. the dogs i have now get all excited because they get to see new people. it's not scary for them yet.
