Some cities have shooting ranges. Where you can bring in your own gun & ammo and fire it there. Or, they may have a variety of guns & ammo for you to rent, while using their range of course.
-
Look in the yellow pages for a local gun club, and research the opportunity to take a class in shooting and learn to shoot with an instructor. probably forty bucks would do it.
-
why on earth do you want a gun????

thanks

Yea I go to a shooting range and it works for me :-)

Your best bet would be to look for a NRA-certified firearms instructor. $40-$50 is about right for the average introduction class. Covers firearm safety, range safety, and basic marksmanship and usually includes use of a pistol/rifle and ammo. A more in-depth class costs around $100 but you get to shoot a broader range of calibers (.22 up to .45).

Check with shooting ranges in your area and see what they have to offer. :-)

Budget...can you put $20 in a svings account every week? It will be a little over $1000 at years end and you can buy a nice gun or a couple of good guns.
-
I take people to ranges to teach firearm safety and let them use a variety of firearms for free. I encourage anyone I know to learn to use them safely. After the first time, you buy your own ammo and bring your own personal safety equipment.

Well, guns are pretty expensive, and the best deal and size of the gun ratio was the Taurus Millenium at 340 bucks here in minnesota.. my favorite was the phoenix something for 140, but I like small guns cuz theyre not as loud and they still serve their purpose. the Taurus was in a gun magazine on the over of it, so obviously it was good.. and its a pistol, which, in my opinion, whups way more ass than a shotgun
