My dad has this saying that made me fall off my chair a few year ago when he said it. He told me how he told this guy he used to work with to kiss his ass and "bark at the hole!" I had to have laughed for 5 minutes straight!

From my Mom and she crafted it onto a plaque for me before she passed away: The picture was a girl sitting on a stool at her mother's feet, while the mom was sitting in a chair, the girl looking up to her mother as her mother softly told her these words: "My mother tried to teach me things I listened the best I could, twas when I had children of my own it was then I understood!"

This was a saying of my grandma's & I like to say it although others don't like to hear it. "If you don't like the apples, don't swing on the tree!"

its only my fave because i dont have to hear it anymore! when ever one of us kids would come home late, for example, if we got home at 1am, the next day she'd say "you got home at 3 o clock in the morning!" she would ALWAYS add two hours to whatever the actual arrival time was!! use to drive us nuts! we tease her about it now that we're adults,it gets on her nerves, but at least we can laugh at it all now
