If he won't say the truth, you should probably stay out of it, or it might wind up somehow backfiring on you in a negative way.

I have to agree, if the idiot's want to fight let them have at it.

I think it's pretty obvious what really happened. Filing for workers' compensation would technically constitute fraud, but if it's the only option to make the thing go away, it may be what happens.

Unless you have any type of interest in the company, partner, etc. then I would just let them make the fraudulent claims. Now if you are asked by the employer about the situation, and he's the one that pays you, then I would tell him what happened. Because if you lied, you probably could be fired.

Write an anonymous letter and drop it in the mail with the details. Insurance fraud costs you too..It'll cost you in premiums sooner or later anyway plus you're looking at an obvious felonious assault. You already know the answer, but it's still your choice. There is no real pride in the BS code of the street. That's fine in prison, but unless you're writing from there do the right thing.

Were you a witness to the fight between the two workers? If so, no one likes a snitch, but remember, this is your tax dollars that will supply this person in a work. comp. case. Its fraud. you have to live with yourself. Its a personal decision.
