Why do people answer questions that are made up just for fun and not answer the ones that really need an answer?

Sometimes, it is better to say nothing on questions than to give poor or ill considered advice to what appear to be serious & heart felt questions.

It doesn't seem to be an either/or situation to me -- I've seen all sorts of questions answered.

It really depends if someone has the knowledge to answer a question - sometimes I'd like to answer a question but in some cases (when it's asking something specific like about medication) I think that a little information can be dangerous. General questions can get general answers that don't actually help, and sometimes askers need to see a professional because each situation is different whether that be a doctor, counsellor or an employment agency.

Everything in nature prefers to take the path of least resistance. Questions for fun are easier and require less thought than those that really need an answer in which you might answer and receive little reward. Don't forget AB is only entertainment in a cloak of serious information exchange or whatever you want it to be.

Is this one of those "fun" questions or does this question really need an answer......your not too clear on that point. Either way - I'll, give you an answer - which for some reason I don't think you will like - most likely people answer questions that they feel like answering - and ignore those that they don't feel like answering. Do you always answer every question? Most likely you don't.

Questions made up for fun are more accessible and easier to answer. People don't always have an answer for the ones that really need one. They're often more complex or specialized and require expertise that people don't have.
