  • Not 100% accurate. LdS are instructed to wear the temple garment night and day except when it is appropriate not to, or when doing so would draw undue attention to it. Being with your spouse is one of those times when it is understood that wearing the temple garment is optional.
  • What is the temple garment? Also, it is really true that mormons have special underpants?
  • They must be like the Jews who have to put a sheet with a hole between the bodies when they're gonna do the nasty and do it thru the hole...No wonder they're the chosen people...
  • not for me!! the shame of Noah's son, which he showed none, was the disrespectful act of "uncovering HIS FATHER's nakedness" and to do so of a mother is shame and disrespectful also!! and should also tell parents it is is a shame and disrespectful of them to do this to their kids,"uncover their nakedness " to them.... but God never says that the ONENESS of a marriage bed is to be covered..it is sacred to them and strictly their business and their bodies belong to each other..WHY WOULD HE TELL THEM TO HIDE THEMSELVES FROM THEMSELVES!!!!PROVERBS will tell u what a good husband and a good wife do, delight in one another....not hide, so don't believe such foolishness..God did not make mates to be hidden from each other..just to "mate" for a child, get real, HE made for that special GIFT but also to have pleasure in one another and show their LOVE & UNITY to each other ...but this is ...JUSTME:)
  • This is not true at all, like most comment on LDS or mormons:)))))
  • This may explain the contradiction between the statement in the referenced article and contemporary answers to this question: "After going through the temple, all members are required to wear white "garments" (special underwear) both day and night. ...They may be removed for showering, swimming, and sex, though a few decades ago, married couples were even instructed to have sex with the garments on. Some members old enough to remember still practice this." ('The BITE Model & Mormon Control' by Luna Flesher; http://www.concernedchristians.com/index.php?option=com_fireboard&Itemid=42&func=view&id=80003&catid=532) So I'm assuming that the author of the article is of the generation when they were, "...instructed to have sex with the garments on..." And blogger offered this perspective: "Honestly, what is sex like in Mormon married life. Many of my family members who are now ex-mormon says that it wasn't very enjoyable. That some say that they would be shameful of being naked in front of their husband, given that they were only allowed to remove their temple garments before sex, and they would have to be put back on immeidately following sex. They also told me that some members actually kept their holy garments on during sex... ...Is it a sin to lie naked with each other for the rest of the night after making love?" http://greensboring.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6874 And, commentators, I agree with this blogger 100% when he says, "...please don't mock the LDS faith. I'm sure it's a sensitive subject for them." Please use only polite and respectful language if you comment on this answer! Thanks.
  • Not sure what the point is here - couples of any denomination often wear underwear to sleep. Where endowed LDS would wear garments, others might wear boxers and a t-shirt. What is hard to believe?
  • i guess it depends on whether you mean sleeping together or during sex. during sex no, while sleeping yes because they are supposed to wear them day and night.
