Could you please give me an intresting fact about the "Twin Towers"? Mine is~It was designed by Minoru Yamasaki in the early 1960's. AND The excavating material was used in making Battery Park City on the West end of Lower Manhattan.

Office fires burn at low temperatures of 600-800 dF. Jet fuel is an ordinary hydrocarbon; its maximal burning temperature is 1200 dF in open air. Steel melts at 2750 dF. Neither jet fuel nor the burning contents of the buildings could cause the towers steel structure to buckle or fail.

Me and my brother both ordered pizza burgers at their food court in 1981 right before flying to France. They were TERRIBLE. He was nauseous for the entire flight and I broke out in hives and showed up looking like I had chicken pox. We were quite pissed, but I don't think he's the type to hold that big of a grudge. At least I don't think so....

In the mid to late 80's, the twin towers was hit by a sesna airplane. this prompted more metal structure be added to the higher floors and this also gave the first test to the inpact resistance.

The gravity of the full moon grew the buildings 18 inches... . The initial design allowed the twins a 4 foot sway allowance... . That was changed after tests showed that people would become dizzy. . The twins were an amazing light weight design. . Please don't listen to those nutty conspiracy folks... popular mechanics gave a great exhaustive dissertation on how it couldn't be.
