  • The way I quit was by chewing a lot of gum (not nicotine), it may give you wind, but it does take away the oral fixation, eating slower helps too. I would also advise that you find something to do with your hands (I knit) just to keep then busy. Also you should make sure you remove all trace from your home of cigarrettes, I know it's hard and you feel the urge to leave an emergency smoke somewhere but it's just not worth it it will just remind you. And GOOD LUCK!!!
  • Well I don't know where you live but I live in the UK and Tomorrow will be the 1st April not the 2nd?
  • Moon phases can help.....at the next new moon (any calender will show you) wait for 24 hours after that new moon, then stop smoking..The NM is a time for new starts, etc......I had a friend who tried it, and it worked for her........
  • I am on day eleven without a cigarette...I just chewed on a straw, tooth pick etc. just to have something in my mouth. Stay busy to keep your mind off of the cigarettes. I quit cold turkey after 30 years of smoking....You can do it....
  • Quitting is easy. I've done it hundreds of time (rimshot). Seriously, be easy on yourself. If you don't succeed, try it again when your are ready. Don't give up. It's hard to do and you have to learn how. One tip I've learned the hard way is: Don't tell people you are going to quit. Just do it and let them tell you. It will feel great when someone says "Hey, did you quit?" If you tell others that you are going to quit, you will be embarrassed if you don't make it, and that will make it even harder the next time you quit. another little trick. When you get the urge for a sm oke, tell yourself that, if you still want one, you can have one in ten minutes. It's a medically demonstrated fact that the urge comes in spurts, and goes away in a couple of minutes if you fight it. Good luck. You can do it. I'm 20 years clean after 30 years smoking (and lots of failed attempts to quit.)
