  • Life and possibilities.
  • mysteries of the universe and how small our world really is.
  • I feel a deep sense of being connected to the earth. Literally.
  • How very, very tiny we are and how very little we really know.
  • I think about how beautiful they are and how they sparkle its most relaxing. And its also romantic
  • When I look at the stars I look at the patterns they make - the constellations - and wonder what was going through the minds of the people who created these constellations, and what constellations there were that now no longer exist. I occasionally try to make my own constellations. If I am out of town at the time, perhaps camping, I get a splendid view of the Milky Way belt of stars, and am constantly amazed at how many stars there are so far away from us, and yet so close in universal terms, and how remote an accident we may be or how many other "accidents" there might be out there. I especially like when my wife and I are out jogging and we slow to a walk for a while and pick out stars or constellations and make them into memories - "I remember looking at that star the night that.....". It doesn't seem to be what other people do, but it's an answer to your question.
  • Peace. The light from the stars you see tonight is actually light from like, 3 years ago, so just think how much war those stars have shone over, and how much peace they could shine over. Weigh up the options. So many people dont even look at the stars because they have no peace of mind or circumstance, and that's sad.
  • Aliens...!!! There always watching us....i know it..!!! **looks left and right, peeks around corner of building** ok the coast is clear...I think....
  • My grandfather. we used to watch to the stars together, and he would tell me stuff about them.
  • I find it hard to think of just one thing, it all rushes to you when you see them. Are we alone in the universe, is soeone on earth looking at the same star as me right now, is someone or something on another planet looking out at the stars like i am. You feel so small but then again so significant.
  • I think about my own insignificance in the grander scheme of things.
  • the inevitable
  • I think about the distances involved, and how you are looking millions of years into the past. I also unfortunately think about how I used to be able to see more of them when I was young, but how light pollution has taken the sky from us.
  • Life and Death and how minute we are in this Universe
  • I feel small, puny and worthless, in this huge tremendous vast universe.
  • I think about God and Life
  • Aliens, wondering if one day I would ever meet one and get to see it's world. I also wonder if the stars I am looking at still exist or have gone a very long time ago.
  • two things. death, and how insignificant we are up against the vast expanse of space.
  • When I actually look at the stars and think literally about what I'm seeing, I often have to sit down. To imagine how far I'm seeing and that it's so far that I'm actually seeing the past is overwhelming for me.
  • Star Trek. What can I say? I wanted to be an astronaut as a kid.
