Do you know any card tricks? If so, what are they and how do you perform them successfully?

    I do know a couple of card tricks, but if I told you how to perform them, they would no longer be tricks.

    I'm not sure how much of a "trick" this is, but I like it.

    Take a deck of cards and quickly glance at the bottom card. Let's say it's the Queen of Hearts. You say to the observer, "I'm going to use a little math and a little magic for this one." Take eight cards from the top of the deck and transfer them to the bottom.

    Then take four cards from the top and place them face up onto a table. Let's say they're A-6-K-2. Transfer from the top to the bottom the number of cards that each face-up card needs to add up to ten. For example, an ace is one, so transfer nine cards from the top to the bottom of the deck. A six means you need to transfer four cards from the top to the bottom. Faces are ten, so transfer no more cards, and then for the two transfer eight cards.

    Then quickly add the face-up numbers, with aces being one and faces being ten, then put those four cards on the bottom of the deck. In the A-6-K-2 example, we have a sum of 19. Then announce that the 19th card from the top will be the Queen of Hearts, which was the original bottom card of the deck. Count the cards one by one as you lay them out, and the 19th card will surely be the Queen.

    I find it best to make up silly reasons as I go along to validate why I'm transferring cards to the bottom. "What's your birthday? Oh, April 4th? Well, let's add four and four, and take eight cards and put them on the bottom of the deck... I was nineteen when I first learned this trick, so let's say the nineteenth card will be, oh I dunno, the Queen of Hearts." Or whatever works. It's not quite a magic trick, but it's neat to impress someone for about ten seconds.

    I know a decent one that takes a lot of setup. You arrange the deck using the word C-Ha-Se-D, chased. Clubs-Hearts-Spades-Diamonds every three. So if you start with 2 of clubs-you would go up three and to the next suit, so the next card would be the 5 of hearts-then the 8 of spades-then the jack of diamonds, then the Ace of clubs...you keep going until you have the full deck. Once you have your deck, show it someone face up and cut it a few times (it will still be in order), spread the cards in your hand and ask them to pick one. take the cards that were on top of the selected card and put them on the bottom of the deck(smooth as possible). As quick as you can take a look at the bottom of the deck, whichever card it is-add three and go to the next suit-thats their card! works over and over

    Ask someone if they want to play. Then throw a deck of cards in the air and let them fall all over the floor. Tell them to pick up the cards, all 52 of them. Fun for all ages.

    Easy trick...
    Take 21 cards, ask someone to pick a card, look at it and place it randomly in the pile without you seeing it.
    Now deal the cards FACE UP in 3 rows of 7 cards, deal them as follows...
    1 2 3
    4 5 6
    7 8 9
    10 11 12
    13 14 15
    16 17 18
    19 20 21
    you dont need to remember the number the card is, just make sure that the cards are allways delt this way.
    Ask the guy who picked the card what pile the card he picked is in.
    Pick up the 3 piles as piles and make sure that the pile with his card in is in the middle of the other 2 piles. For example, if he chose the 3 of diamonds and that card is in position 7, take the right hand pile first, then the left hand pile is placed on top of the right hand one and finally the central pile is placed on top of the other 2.
    Repeat twice.
    Now simply pile the cards all up and face down, now count! Turn the top card over, then the next and so on.
    The card the person you are playing with chose will allways be the 11th card!
    You can play around with the way you count the cards to personalise the trick.
    Its a very easy trick, try it out!
