Yes we had a very small scale earthquake here in IL last year.

I've never actually been "in" an earthquake. But I have felt tremors from a few from a distance. I'm not too far from the New Madrid fault line and the Ozark uplift (I think that's what they call it!).

I was in a hotel in California one night and I thought my kids were jumping on the bed....I woke up feeling around the bed and my husband woke up.....I realized the bed was not bouncing but swaying back and forward. It stopped shortly after. My husband was freaked out about it...I found it interesting...it was a 4.2 on the richter scale...I do have to say I was glad to leave California....

Oh yeah, in California, two big ones. Very weird feeling when the ground under you moves around.

Yes, a 3.5 one in Oklahoma. I was the only one in our house that noticed it. No one believed me until it was on the news that night. We lived three blocks from the railroad and everyone else thought it was a train.

yep, several but the BIG one in October 1989 really sticks in my mind! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loma_Prieta_earthquake Hazard of living in California but would rather have them than live in FL or elsewhere.
