All the time. I hate banks. They charge you fees when you can least afford it and then give you all kinds of bonus' when you have lots of money in your accounts. Drives me nuts.

While we had our mortgage with a local S&L, we started noticing that our balance was not going down ... as we paid our monthly payments. We asked them "what the??". They told us it was their "system"! It seems that they had so many folks who paid late or not at all ... they would put aside money from each payment to help them out when they couldn't meet the payment. We told them WE didn't need that kind of help!!! It was ridiculous that they just decided that for us!

I have a Q that has nothing to do with banking. I flagged this as offensive: http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/6041198 He was talking about how it is ok to beat your wife, etc etc. AB e-mailed me saying it was fine. Is that it? There's nothing more I can do?

I had an account at a bank and closed it before moving out of state. I continued to get mail from them and found that the account was still open. I called and they confirmed once more that it was now closed. A few weeks later I got a letter saying that it had been overdrawn $300. It took me another week of calling, being on hold, contacting a local branch and mailing letters to confirm for the third time that the account had been closed and whatever overdrafts happened were not from me. They fixed the problem....A few days after I got a letter that the account is $15 in the positive. I had to pull out the random money from the local branch and close the account for the forth time.
