I need to drink a litre of water in half an hour for my ultrasound. Water makes me want to puke. Any tips?

    Yes, carry a bucket. Seriously, just drink the water slower.

    put something really good smelling in front of you while drink probly something edible tho. about 50% or more of ur taste is from smell, haven't tried this one with water but hey it might work

    For an ultrasound you need to drink clear liquid - it doesn't have to be plain water.
    Water should not make you feel nauseous. Tho I recall from my own ultrasound that drinking that much can make you feel like you're going to yak.

    Could you add sugar to it or maybe lemon juice? I've never heard of water making people sick lol

    You could try inhaling it as opposed to drinking it. It may incur other discomforts but at least you won't experience any nausea!

    (Worst case scenario, opt for tea... or a hot chocolate. What? It has water especially if you leave out the milk...)

    The first half litre will go in fine. Take the rest in small sips. Good luck for your test. Hope everything's normal.

    Can you add flavoring in it? They have stuff like that at the store, that wont have all the sugars like kool-aid

    Stick some dilute juice in there thats what I did
    but you will still feel sick or like your carrying a huge water balloon in your belly lol

    It doesn't have to be water and it doesn't have to be clear fluid either. Any fluid that will fill up your bladder works fine.
