  • Erik, from the Phantom of the Opera. A misunderstood, loving person with a heart that can contain an Empire, but must content himself with a cellar.
  • Edward, from Edward Scissorhands. Long ago, at some long forgotten point in my childhood, I was actually a very happy, social, creative, bright eyed young lad. But through some cruel twist of fate, I ended up spending much of my life without friends or any sort of companionship, starved for human contact, and terribly bad at any sort of social interaction. I ended up retreating into books and the safe little refuge of my own mind. And when I finally did decide to come out of my shell a bit, I discovered that I couldn't identify with %99 of humanity even if I wanted to. So I've always seemed to end up alone, simply because I can't interact with most people without them discovering how different I really am from them and ostrasising me.
  • Captain Jack Aubrey, from Patrick O Brian's Master and Commander. He's a maverick charged with highly important tasks. I've served with the marines in Afghanistan and I was like dang, Patrick O Brian knows what war feels like.
