  • There are several Collected Poems I wouldn't part with: Norman MacCaig, George Mackay Brown, Ivor Gurney, RS Thomas. As for self-contained books I love: Dart by Alice Oswald; Canto General by Neruda, Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. I also like Letters from Iceland by Auden and MacNeice, but it has prose in there as well. So, as usual I don't have a single favourite, but lots of things I can't decide between.
  • "Immortal Poems of the English Language" It is a collection of poems from Beowolf to Robert Frost and the like. I love it.
