People who are against all animal testing... how many of you have even considered being a human guinnea pig for testing of products which will likely have serious side effects like new drugs?

I wouldn't consider it. Would personally scare the heck out of me. I see ads from pharma or R&D companies advertising for "participants" in drug studies everyday up here. Payment rendered upon completion of study looks to be between $500 and $1500 dependent upon type and duration of study. In these tough economic times, I think some people may be considering it. Let's hope they give it very serious consideration before signing that waiver.
