My wife would normally decide on a matter like this. Usually she would want to give these items away especially to retirement homes or orphanages. Our wheelchair is ready to be taken away to Grace Home anytime now.

I usually give donate them to Goodwill. I may sell them or I will give them to a friend in need, Sometimes these things are utter junk and I throw them away.

I give them away to the people who work for me. I live in Africa and therefore there are a lot of poor (and I have several servants) so there is always somebody very happy to take unwanted items. When I lived in the developed world I would usually just throw them away as there was never anybody wanting used items. It always felt like a waste.

I put them in a big slingshot and hurl them into the sun.

.....I find it difficult to throw things away so I do it in phases....pack it in boxes....put it outta sight.....couple of months later if i still don't use them then I sell it for recycling
