AB-Jon: Mar. 25, 06:03 PM Hey folks. It's been a while since I've posted in the blog, I apologize. Many of you have noticed some of the serious performance issues on Answerbag over the last few weeks, and even over the last few months. Many of these issues have been related to our search engine. It's used on almost every page. Over the last 6 months, we've seen an amazing increase in usage on the site, and consequently the search. We're serving well over a million pages a day now, so about a million searches a day. Pretty wild. We've outgrown the old solution, and have upgraded this week. It hasn't been the smoothest ride, but I assure you we're working to get everything resolved. New hardware, better search results, and a huge performance improvement. Curious what we're using?
