How does it feel to experience David Hockney's performance piece called "Snail's Pace"?

I have seen the painting several times in the exhibition "Exciting Times Are Ahead", 2001 at the Art and Exhibition Hall in Bonn. It was a great experience. The colors change before your eyes, affecting your sense of space strongly. Things that seem distant at one point, come closer, and vice versa. You can really see how blue is distant, and red is close, for instance. The actual experience is far more refined and varied than one could describe in words. The lighting is programmed with a computer so that it runs as a loop (one course is about 7 minutes, but when you are really "in it", you tend to forget the time). I spent more than half an hour in front of the painting at one time. It is great fun, and moving, too.
