Not slippers but when I was a kid my friend's father made my sister and me home made moccasins. I wore them as slippers.

Yes i have. Some years ago my brother was working in a northern community of Canada. For Christmas one year he had one of the local women make my husband and I moccasins. They were beautiful with real rabbit fur along the opening and wonderful beadwork on the front. Apparently the more you wear them outside the harder the soles become. I still have them today,and they look as good as the day I got them.
