One day about four years ago, don't remember the date, but it was about two feet. That is in the Philly area. It was funny, my dog got stuck and couldn't get out.

The blizzard of '78 was the most snow to hit Boston in 1, 2 and 3 days. The first day, Jan 20 1978, we got 21.0 inches. We got another 6.1 inches on the 21st.

We had a blizzard that lasted about 3 days back in 1978 in Connecticut. I believe we ended up with something like between 50 to 60 inches. Nothing moved for a while! At the time I worked right down the street from where I lived at a bakery/deli store. I had a key to open and close and the owner called and asked me if I would open for her because the people in the community were out of milk/bread, etc and they were calling her to see if she was going to be able to get there; she lived too far and couldn't make it because travel by vehicle was impossible for some time. I sold everything in the store in a matter or hours!

The winter of '78 seems to have stuck in a lot of other people's minds, too!

I remember getting 24 inches of snow in one afternoon/night from that blizzard in Indiana.
