Is it really so challenging for people to proofread their own questions?

It does seem to be on occasions, I do try to remember that a lot of people using Answerbag do not have English as a first language and I think most of them do very well. I have to be very careful because I am a very poor typist. .

I am personally surprised at how many people seem to be truly illiterate. I also find it ironic that, in an age where conversation via text (text messages, instant messages, forums, text boards, etc.) is constantly increasing, we continue to see a decline in literacy. Cuz if I c 1 mor kweston lik dis I gon kom thru dis screne!!!

I always proofread my questions it's those comments I forget to. :(

There are not so many errors in average. But there are some non native speakers with a weak English knowledge and obviously some people without a good basis in written English. Moreover, we all make errors, and unfortunately, errors in questions can only get corrected in the first few minutes.
