I have used it. I think it worked. Either that or the bugs migrated away just when I put it on. Investigate this website: http://www.revolution4dogs.com/content.asp?country=US&lang=EN&drug=RV&species=CN&sec=140 for more information about safety, etc.

We do not use Revolution. I use a product through our vet (Advantage) for fleas and ticks, plus HeartGuard for heart worms and other intestinal parasites. Both of these I think are sold only through a vet. HeartGuard requires an initial test for existing worms, then must be taken once a month regularly to prevent infestation. My Theory: Since fleas are on the outside they should be treated from the outside. Since worms are on the inside, they should be treated on the inside. My Vets Theory. You don't need to use flea and tick poison (Which is what is in the drops) all of the time. You are putting poison on the skin of the animal each time. Instead check the animal weekly and at the first signs of tick/fleas use the product AND during the local high activity periods for Fleas and Tick in your area. For instance if you live in Wisconsin I seriously doubt Ticks are out in the middle of January when the ground is covered in 5' of snow. I do know that this should be considered as a Medication (Any treatment for fleas and ticks should be considered medicine) and should be used against the weight of the animal. Therfore: A 1 pound puppy Chihuahua will get far less of a medicine than a 90 pound boxer. As with all the warnings you may see for pregnant women when it comes to common things you should treat a pregnant animal with the same amount of caution. When in doubt about a product/medicine please call a vet. Preferably a Vet who has seen your animal and has a file on them.

Works better than anything on the market, in my opinion. I had two indoor only cats that became infested with fleas. I lived in an apartment with fleas outside and apparently some were tracked in. I treated the WHOLE HOUSE very thoroughly when I got them started on Frontline. Still major flea infestation. After the 3 mos worth went by, I decided to try Advantage. Same procedure, same thing. I assumed that it would just be impossible to completely be rid of fleas, and I just kept retreating the house to keep the flea infestation low and using Frontline. Then, a new vet recommended Revolution. NO more fleas, and by that time I was really worn out on treating the house so I was half doing it. Best stuff ever! Also protects against lots of other parasites including heart worms.
