  • Doesn't a puppy become 'not a puppy' at 1 year? So by definition it wouldn't be puppy breath anymore. Or are you asking when does the breath get bad regardless of if the dog itself is still a 'puppy'? Bad breath is usually a sign of poor dental hygine and can generally be avoided with proper care: http://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&S=0&C=0&A=129

  • I was about 35 when my wife officially told me I had "Dog Breath"
  • It's pretty much all about DIET. Once the dog is on DOG FOOD...the sweet milk breath sort of sours for many dogs. Not all dogs HAVE bad breath, however, just as with humans! The food they eat and the condition of their teeth and gums is the primary factor that either keeps their mouths in a reasonable and HEALTHY state or causes a stench! If your dog has really foul breath...start looking at what you feed and also look at their teeth and gums!
