She's extremley insecure...not always but most of the time when a woman starts off by telling you how strong she is, she is usually an emotional wreck.

If other people say it, I think that she's probably a woman that has shown that she can handle life's challenges with courage, grace, and aplomb. If she's constantly saying it about herself she's very likely a brutish loudmouth.

She is trying to convince herself, by saying it often. A strong woman doesnt need to say it. -
I know what she means as I am a strong woman and we have to be in this day and age. Us older women have to stand up for ourselves and the more we stand for ourselves the stronger we are.

I don't believe it at all when she says it. I know alot of strong woman, and none just come out and say it. She is talking herself up instead of being strong.

Maybe she wants you to know that she can handle things herself without your help.

From what I've seen, it's more of a ploy to try and convince others, and maybe themselves, that they actually are a strong woman.

Well, you never hear Jessica Alba or Beyonce saying, "I'm a beautiful woman." When it's true, you don't have to be the one to say it.

That she might be alluding to some subtle social commentary...but more likely I'd wonder why she'd need to say that OUT LOUD.

Even though I'm a woman, I believe women who say this to others are often trying to hide the fact that they are struggling with something.
