Hit. Odds are you are beat if you don't.

Stay. my thinking is I prefer to get beaten by a good hand than to loose on a bust. 1 out of 2 cards will bust a 16.

Hit me! Guido and Louie will take care of the rest.

Ah Screw it..go for it..that's what gambling is all about..Luck:):) But if this is your last 5 bucks I would stay:)

the book says to hit so i hit. but remember u have to be consistant at a table, dont hit sometimes and hit other ... so the other players know how u play.
-
I think you're supposed to hit a two-card 16, stay when it's 3 or more.

Play the same way the casino requires of the dealer...he must take a hit on sixteen...and stay on seventeen! The casino knows the odds better than anyone! Furthermore, if you are sitting at "Third Base", the last seat before the dealer, you have a "responsibility" to the other players to take that hit. If it's a face card or a high card, you may lose, but reduce his chances of getting it. The other experienced players will know that you know what you are doing. If they see you refuse the hit, they will know that you don't know what you're doing and will get up and find another table to play at. Third Base players have a special responsibility to the other players at the table. If you don't know how to play, don't sit there.

Someone gave me these rules a while back: 1. Never hit a winner. (if you're holding 17-21) 2. If the dealer shows 12-16 and you are holding 12-16, stay and let him hit. 3. If the dealer shows 7 or better and you hold 12-16, hit. 4. Always split aces. 5. If you can double down (9-11) and the dealer shows 12-16, do it, but if the dealer is showing 7 or better, don't. 6. Never drink and gamble.
